random pictures.

got this shirt from a very nice guy, named jason, who works as a head mechanic in banff. and boy, do i need a mechanic!! blew my fork. can't ride. sad. thanx jason.
and this little guy was our neighbor in banff. stole our food, the bastard!!

mom. momy. mama. mmmm.

so, going through the beutiful roads of jasper national park, my mother spotted a black bear, and started chasing him, till he went up the tree, crying and asking for mercy. poor little bear... the right place, the right time- the wrong lady to mess with.
the water falls are huge, and the water is freezing cold. shrinkage.
my father asked my mom to check somthing in the back of the car, and then hit the gas, and left her there to hitchhike her way back to LA. needless to say, the first car to pass, stopped right away. hot mama.

green. moist.

today i rode (finally...) from canmore to banff. my parents met me there, and we found a place to stay with our RV in. the trail was beutiful, full of roots and rocks, and little waterfalls coming from the melting snow, ending up in the river.
i love the moss that grows around here in the sides of the singletracks. it makes me smile. like family guy. and cheese.
i am sorry, but GOLF IS NOT A SPORT! okay, so you rich guys have alot of money, play your little "game" in the most amazing places, and drive fancy cars, but if you can be fat and do that "sport", if you do not sweat, and if your cloths are made of regular fabric- YOU ARE NOT ATHLETES. you are just rich. or bored.

the mountains are calling.

and our car\house has been drinking the fuel like a mo-fo. it was so bad, we ran out of fuel on the highway.
but now we are in the rockies, and i can ride everyday, so the drives will not be as long, and we can relax, and enjoy the view. these mountains are the "three sisters"- named after my own three sisters- gilat, keren and maya. or somthing.

living with my parents...

is nothing new to me, but doing so on 15 square meters is a whole new ball game. my mother decided that this vacation is a total time off, and does not cook at all. so my father made his famous shakshooka, the one he makes only when my mom is on a strike. the sunsets in here are amazing, and only happen around 10 at night. which is a good thing... more time to play!!
self explainatory.

best seat in the house...

may it be the most unsafe car seat ever concieved by man....
the back of the RV, while my father is driving the straight roads of Manitoba...
or the back seat of my mom's friend, jujik, rolls royce (!!)....
in our eyes, as long as the scenery is as good as this, every seat is the best seat in the house.

meet the parents.

while i am an avid bike rider, who has never smoked in his life, my parents are crazy smokers. they act like teenagers while they do it, and its funny as hell.
we are in calgary right now, and its a great city. the way here was looooooooooong, and some of the scenery was just awesome. the rest was as straight as an arrow roads, on flats 40 times as big as israel. bbbbbbbooooooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnggggggggg.
so my father had to do some tai chi/monkey dancing, while smoking a cigar.

family. distant and close.

we suffer so much. its horrible, i know.
our jersey family, haim and rachel, were the most wonderful hosts. thanks guys. sorry for the mess...
and our toronto family, marlin and jack, showed us the greatest time in their lake house. send our love to the kids... and come to our lake house in israel. our lake is 12 meters long!! and we have a paper boat. you'll have a good time. thanx...

reflections...

a new york puddle was a great photo op...
and my father practiced his nudist roots on the drive to toronto. "its hot", he said. i know, dad, i know, its hard to be accepted as a nudist, in today's society... one day they will understand. you'll see.
i'm the lepricon... i am the lepricon!!!

the roads. the parents.

its like the jewish people are different in any way, we need our own magazine...
took my parents to the heart of new york city, on the subway. all my pictures from the subway are fuzzy! weird huh?
anyway, we are in toronto, after spending a few days on the roads. the last night was at a family's place, on this awesome lake. it was amazing... my parents love my motorhome, and living on the roads. more great pictures to come.

on the roads...

i have no internet connection through my computer, so i cannot upload any pictures yet. we are now in toronto, canada, and on our way west towards the canadian rockies. i will get some better connection tomorrow, and will put some pictures up.
one important thing- big kudos to rotem ishay, the israeli national champion, for his 15th spot at worlds. what a rider.

its all about the family.

my parents are here!!! last time i saw them was more than three months ago, but we have talked on the phone so much, i felt like i was with them most of those months.
we will go to the city today, and will start moving north by the end of the week. it will be sooo nice n-o-t to drive the RV, but be driven. i will be able to walk around, while my father is driving.
and the weather has been great. it all comes together, you see? and, ofcourse, my mother's cooking!! no more blend rice!! no more chicken breast with almost a hint of some taste!!
i feel this is going to be great.

random pictures....

went to the city again, this time on my little vintage beauty. i tell you, 8 speed is sooooo quiet... i scared people in central park, as they couldn't hear me coming. it was awesome!!
stumbled upon these japanese kids, playing in the park. these young kids are totally pro... in fact, they are playing in carnegie hall tomorrow! you never know what's going on in the park. i love it.

good times...

a dog's point of view. and yes, every dog spends hours every day, looking at your ass.

country road, take me home...

its father's day here in the states, so i went with my newly discovered awesome cousine, mika, to upstate new york, to celebrate with her\my family. i know its a stretch, but they are family. i felt so much at home...
it was like i was back with my family in israel. lots of food on the table, and people who are easy going and warm. like i said- family. the house is amazing, in the middle of a green hilly area, and its just 20 minutes from woodstock... yes, that woodstock.
a sticker on a dodge ram truck, with a hemi engine. nuff' said.

party...

met up with a distant cousine whom i had never seen before in my life- Mika. it was a strange thing to meet someone i had never seen, and feel like a family. together with her cute best friend, jennie, we took a water taxi, and went to a party on the other side of the river.
they both work in the fashion industry, and are the same age as i am. it was a great little party, and we drank a bunch, danced and went back to the city, late at night. family in new york? who would have thunk?
oh', its a party al'right, when a little sand truck carries your drinks around, and brings it straight to you!

subway.

went on the subway yesterday, going into the city. it has to be the greatest way to move around town... well, except for a bicycle, i mean.
it all feels so movie like. you feel as though your'e a tourist, cause you don't really know where to go, but, as the silent moving doors close, and the train starts moving on its tracks, you feel like a new yorker. a subway veteran .
i like to do people watching in the city, and especially on the subway. all kinds of people... a man in a suit, carrying a briefcase, looking like he is in a hurry. a young mother, with her child and shopping bag. a single young woman, listening to her i pod. all silent, like they are not surrounded by hundreds of watching eyes... alone in the city.

factory viait.

yesterday i drove a thousend kilometers... but it was worth it, as i got to visit the cannondale bike company factory. it was really hard to find it!!
the tour was interesting and enlighting. i went through all the manufaturing process, and got to ask alot of questions.
they have some cool bikes, and alot of cool people. it is located in bedford, a little blue collar town, and the people are "regular" people... not bike riders, just people who love their jobs, and create great bikes. i always had a thing with cannondale, especially their racing hardtails. yumm...

you know its new york...

when a guy in harlem washes his car with the fire thingy... typical new york, isn't it?
and when your pizza is that good. in fact, it was so good, that i had another slice...
bank leumi seems to make enough money off our backs in israel, that it has a branch on 7th av. money making money... i heard the dollar bills smell better that way. ha!
